those decisions,
Is this good for
the children?

Just imagine what our world would be like if that question was asked prior to making decisions about going to war, the environment, education or healthcare.

10/30/2017:  Women's Spaces celebrates its 5th Anniversary returning to Radio KBBF for a weekly live 1-hour show at 11am, repeating at 11pm.

3/21/2017:  The mp3 audio player has been changed so the shows no longer autoplay on opening the webpages of shows archived in 2017 and forward, as well as on the home page.

7/13/2015:  The 11 AM Monday show on Radio KBBF FM-89.1 now repeats at 11 PM.
9/1/2012:  Radio KBBF FM-89.1 for North San Francisco Bay Area begins broadcasting a regular weekly Women's Spaces Show on Mondays at 11:00 AM Pacific Time. See our Radio page (its tab is on the menu bar above) for the links to archive pages of the live shows that have been broadcast.

 1.  Caroline Ba˝uelos has been an advocate for District Elections in Santa Rosa since 2004.  The City Council put the issue before the voters as Measure Q in 2012 but it failed.  Now the City is being threatened with a lawsuit. On Tuesday evening August 29, 2017 the City Council will consider to support one of two resolutions on this issue of District Elections. The Santa Rosa School Board just voted to move to trustee area elections for three board seats by November 2018.

About our Guest:  Caroline Ba˝uelos has lived in Sonoma County for over 30 years and has a BA from Sonoma State University in Political Science. Caroline has served on many nonprofit boards including Social Advocates for Youth, Community Support Network, and Routes for Youth and the Konocti Girl Scout Council. She has also served on many civic boards including Santa Rosa Planning Commission, Santa Rosa Board of Community Services and the Santa Rosa Community Advisory Board. Most recently she served as the Chair of the Community and Local Law Enforcement Task Force (also known as the Andy Lopez Task Force). Caroline is the Co-Chair of Santa Rosa Cinco de Mayo Committee and President of the Sonoma County Latino Democratic Club. Caroline has worked for Ceres Community Project for the last four years as their Volunteer Relations Manager. Caroline is committed to human rights, social justice and empowering youth.

2.   Laura Wells talks about her journey to support Public Banking.  She explains the concept and a working example in North Dakota.  Laura reports of success in Oakland for city funding of a feasibility study for a Public Bank of Oakland.

About our Guest:  Laura Wells ran for State Controller and also fo rGovernor on the Green Party ticket. Her key proposals are that we Tax the Rich, and that we establish a State Bank to invest in California not Wall Street. She is a co-founder of the No Corporate Money Campaign, with the mission to build a critical mass of candidates who pledge to run with no corporate money, and voters who declare their intentions to vote for candidates who do not take corporate money.
