Before Deciding

When our representatives are making important decisions that impact all of our lives I believe it is important to ask one basic question before making
those decisions,
Is this good for
the children?

Just imagine what our world would be like if that question was asked prior to making decisions about going to war, the environment, education or healthcare.

1Commentary by Elaine B. Holtz I have a two very special guests for this show, joining in the studio is Jessie Gordon and Megan Gordon, yes mother and daughter. Jessie is my elder, 96 years old strong. I am really excited about this show, something I have been wanting to do and that is play a song and then discuss it. We will have three perspectives as I will also weigh in and I hope this will be a great discussion. I would love if folks email me at elainebholtz@gmail.com and let me know what you thought of this show.

Well here it is April and Ken and I celebrated our 23 anniversary together. Happy Anniversary Ken, I know you and your Mom Mary, sister Joanne and brother in law Jeff are down in Arcadia listening to the program. Hey a special shout out to my Aunt Joan, she turned 99 on Sat. Sorry I missed the party but sending you a special I Love You across the airways. Aunt Joan is amazing and can hold her own in a conversation. A little trivia about Aunt Joan she served as a nurse during World War 11. Shout out to our cousin Ann who provides loving care to her.

A little bit late but I want to acknowledge that on March 31 it was Caesar Chavez Day. President Barack Obama declared March 31 Cesar Chavez Day a national holiday in 2014. It is not a federal holiday, but is a state holiday in California. It is either an optional or commemorative day in nine other states - Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin and Rhode Island.

My deep condolences to the families or the individuals who were killed on Monday March 27, 2023.

A former student killed three children and three adults Covenant School, a Christian elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday, March 27, armed with two “assault-style” weapons and a handgun after elaborately planning the massacre by drawing a detailed map and conducting surveillance of the building, police said.

I looked up Covenant to see what it means. It means:

Covenant: An agreement which brings about a relationship of commitment between God and his people.
